Plus we sold home-made cupcakes & Banana Bread. Last Saturday we started at 5am, finished at 17:45 in the afternoon having baked & sold 17 loaves of bread & 44 rolls. I took a large basket of bread rolls around the village to sell a few weeks ago and they all sold – am now waiting for feedback! I have attached a photo of this morning’s baking, so that you can see that my slashing technique has improved massively thanks to your hands on guidance. I have been developing recipes based on some of the things I saw or tried at yours and am very happy with the results. And now two years later I'm still baking, selling and sharing! Makes it much more real, accessible and approachable for ordinary folk like me. Much better than going to some purpose-built, celebrity bread course, because baking is a part of your lives, not the whole deal. I wanted to let you know how much I appreciated being part of the LoveLoaves experience. Just wanted to thank you guys again for such an inspiring and baketastic course!!! As you know I was a baker novice and I came away (by the end ) feeling confident and ready to bake for living! I sold my first twenty loaves before the event (church Christmas fair) even opened! I am of course besides myself that the comments and feedback were good and must say thanks to you for the encouragement up to now. You said you have a way to make the sourdough loaves so most of the work is done the night before? I'd love to be able to produce a great loaf by 9 a.m. I took your Mini-Bakery course in January and have been churning out lovely loaves ever since. It is all a bit scary at the moment and there seems loads to do but I will get there. I can't believe I am actually doing it! I will keep you posted. We hope to find a couple of outlets who will sell bread for us too. We plan to do pizzas at events and food festivals/farmers markets and at private parties.

I have moved forward with my dough.my Dad and I have bought a vintage horse trailer and are getting a wood fired oven hand built into it. At last! I could soon be in a position where I have to start investing in a bigger oven a lot sooner than I planned! I have been producing bread to order for the past 2 Saturdays.

It has been very hectic over the past 2 weeks since I visited. I enjoyed your course and found it really beneficial, and came home with a wealth of information, the kind of which I don't think a large bakery school would be able to provide, namely the systems and functioning within a home bakery. I now bake 2-3 times a week including loaves and baguettes to order from home, supplying a church café and for two farmers Markets a month. Jo's Loaves more or less opened it's 'virtual' doors on 25th July 2011. Within a month, I had a rough plan, a logo, promotional literature, equipment, environmental health approval, insurance, flour supplier and a name.

In early June 2011 I attended a course with Love Loaves on how to start your own bakery from home, a present from my beloved husband. Our bread is very popular with the customers and the bakery is so successful that we can employ an extra baker. Penny and Dragan were (are) very encouraging and extremely generous with their advice. After this great course and accompanying booklets (baking sourdough bread and the blueprint micro bakery) I had gained enough confidence to bake my own sourdough bread and start a little bakery to supply our own farm shop.
